You have chosen to do business with DeKalb Community Bank, and we accept the
obligation to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the
information you have chosen to share with us. We believe that your privacy
should not be compromised. At the same time, we want to offer you the array of
financial products and services you need to accomplish your financial goals. We

Our Customers Expect Privacy
We understand that you expect your personal and financial affairs to be held in
the strictest confidence. As a customer of DeKalb Community Bank, you have
entrusted us to protect your privacy and to safeguard your personal information.
We take this responsibility seriously and have designed policies and procedures
to prevent misuse of this information.
Why We Collect, Retain, and Use Customer Information
We collect, retain, and use information about you only where we believe it will
help administer our business or provide products, services, and other
opportunities to you. If we collect information about you, we will do so only
for a specific business purpose; and if you request, we will tell you why we are
collecting the information. Some of the reasons we use your information are the
following: to protect and administer your records, accounts, and funds; to
comply with certain laws and regulations; to help design and improve our
products and services; and to better understand your financial needs.
We Will Maintain Accurate Information
DeKalb Community Bank has established procedures to ensure that your financial
information is accurate, current and complete, in keeping with reasonable
commercial standards. We also pledge to respond to requests to correct
inaccurate information in a timely manner.
We Will Limit Access To Your Information
Each DeKalb Community Bank employee is required to follow our Company's
"Code of Conduct," which states that all customer information is
considered private and privileged and is to be used solely for the purpose of
providing you with the finest service available.
Security Procedures Protect Your Information
DeKalb Community Bank is committed to the security of your financial and
personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in
a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed
by third parties. We maintain and grant access to customer information only in
accordance with our internal security standards.
We Restrict Disclosure of Account Information
It is the bank's policy not to reveal specific information about customer
accounts or other personally identifiable data to unaffiliated third parties for
their independent use, except for the exchange of information with reputable
information reporting agencies to maximize the accuracy and security of such
information or in the performance of bona fide corporate due diligence or
business matter, unless 1) the information is provided to help complete a
customer initiated transaction; 2) the customer requests or permits it; 3) the
disclosure is required by or allowed by law (e.g. subpoena, investigation of
fraudulent activity, request by regulator, etc.); or 4) the customer has been
informed about the possibility of disclosure for marketing or similar purposes
through a prior communication and given the opportunity to decline (i.e.
"opt out").
We Maintain Your Privacy When We Do Business Outside Our Organization
When we do provide customer information to a third party, we will insist-
through a written agreement- that a third party adhere to privacy principles
similar to those to which DeKalb Community Bank adheres for keeping this
information confidential.
We Will Not Share Your Information Outside Our Organization
We maintain procedures designed to protect you confidential information. Other
than under the limited exceptions explained above it is our practice not to
share confidential customer information outside our organization. You do not
need to request this confidentiality - it is our standard practice.
